As many of you already know, September has always been a truly special month for me. It's a time of utter happiness and beautiful beginnings, including the arrival of our three much longed for and precious children. Well after much umming & ahhing during the past 12 months or so and with support and gentle encouragement from my wonderful family, friends and clients September seemed the perfect time to finally hit the publish button on my newest "baby".. my Captured by Chrissy Photography BLOG! A special place to share my favourite images and also some sneak peeks from the sessions I have been honoured to photograph too. Taking my passion to capture treasured moments for others to that next level is incredibly exciting, totally exhilarating, very humbling... and so it begins!

Mini Shoot With Baby M

How adorable! Despite the very poor light and a beautiful bubba that wanted her dummy LOL I still managed to do a very quick and fun mini session of my darling friend "S" with her new little niece who was about 3 weeks old here...

Isn't she just adorable? I even had lots of baby snuggles too. So precious. Thanks to her mummy "M" for having me over for morning tea. Hope you both like the sneak peeks!

Year 11 Semi Formal Session

With three teenagers in our home, at this time of year there is alot of family fun going on... lots to photograph too! The girls school our Miss 16 attends was not having an official photographer at the event for the Year 11s but luckily our sweet girl has a Mumma who is never far from her camera. *grin*

With only a 10 minute window to do a very quick session before needing to be on our way, I managed to capture these beautiful images of our daughter looking very elegant in her gorgeous red satin dress with black lace sash. The handmade black crystal pendant we bought just set off the whole outfit, she looked so striking.

There has been lots of excitement the past few weeks with dress shopping, hair dresser appointments and of course a relaxing manicure with pretty french tips to complete the whole look. Miss 16 is our only daughter so it's incredibly lovely doing the whole girly thing with her I'll admit. :)

Congratulations our darling girl, you are growing up so very quickly and Year 11 is almost behind you. We are very proud of you, definitely our true Gift from above....

Catching up...Miss H

Now that I have my disc burner all sorted out I thought I'd put together a customised CD of the images from a session I did a while back of cute little Miss H with her mummy. They had flown interstate to visit Miss H's lovely aunty and I was so lucky to be asked to capture some happy and treasured memories for them of this special trip.

It was such a pleasure to photograph these two beautiful sisters, you can see the love they have for this sweet princess. It just shines.

Manda I'm so pleased you loved your package of goodies today, I see you have shared them on facebook already, that was quick! *grin* The look on your face when you opened the box was absolutely priceless, makes me unbelievably happy too...

I have a number of new sessions coming up over the next little while which should be heaps of fun, another newborn shoot too which is always SO exciting, you all know how much I *heart* bubbas. Just waiting for the little bundle of blue to arrive. :)

Huge 70th Celebration Session!

Recently I was excited to be asked to shoot a very large family session as a surprise gift for a beautiful lady on her 70th birthday. The day chosen couldn't have been more perfect considering the wet weather we had been having and I spent a thrilling afternoon photographing the various family groups gathered at the celebrations.

There were 19 people altogether including 7 kiddies, it was huge, busy and a totally amazing experience for me as a photographer! This cutie pie "Miss O" was super keen to model for me. Isn't she darling?

The birthday girl was obviously happy with her gift. She and her hubby are such a great couple, the affection and love just shines.

Heartfelt thanks to Ange for organising the surprise for her lovely mother-in-law...

...and also to Helen for inviting me into her home to shoot our session.

Love the soft VINTAGE feel to this large group one.

And here they all are! I was honoured to be a little part of your special 70th birthday celebrations, it was ever so wonderful meeting you all. I truly hope you enjoy your sneak peeks here (you have extras since there were so many of you *grin*) and will treasure the portraits I've captured of your happy relaxed family on the day. All your proofs will be ready to view on my proofing website in the next day or so, I will email you the addy so keep your eye on your inbox.  :)
